Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Hope everyone is doing well and excited for Christmas festivities!
Dan and I just got back from visiting Colleen and Paul in Plymouth. It was nice to see everyone before Christmas! Kieran and Ellie came down as well and we had a nice meal with everyone before Dan and I had to head back to Bournemouth 🙂
Unfortunately, Dan has to work today, but I am going to make sure he comes home to a Christmas Eve feast. Our Christmas Eve dinner will consist of minted lamb shanks (yummm), roast potatoes, parsnips, and carrots, brussel sprouts (for me, I love them!), and we have a Christmas pudding and apple pecan crumble for dessert. Hungry just thinking about it. For Christmas Day we are going to a potluck meal at one of our friend’s houses, it should involve a lot of yummy food and alcohol 🙂
We have the tree up and decorated, I was hoping for a bigger tree this year, but we just didn’t get around to it. We did get a new “Woodland” themed bauble set though, haha. (Blurry tree picture due to the lack of natural light (aka sunshine!), we’re having a wet and rainy Christmas this year).
My friend, Lian, and I did a ton of baking one weekend, we did four different batches of Christmas cookies. Somehow Dan and I have managed to make quite a dent in them though…
And it looks like Santa has been very good to us this year, look at all those presents under the tree! I’ve been trying to convince Dan we should open gifts tonight (which is what I always did with my family), but he’s not really having it so it looks like presents will have to wait to tomorrow!
Merry Christmas to everyone from Dan and I! xx
